Habitat
Very steep exposed slope in open pine forest. Fairly dense woods with much dappled sunlight reaching ground cover.

Description
Prostrate. Rhizome superficial to 3 cm. deep in ground. Branches ascending to ca. 0.3 m. Fruits blue-black. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
