Habitat
Ordovician undivided limrestone and sandstone. On slope above road in mixed forest of Abies concolor, Juniperus monosperma, Pinus edulis, Pseudotsuga mensiezii, Cercocarpus montanus with Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Geranium caespitosum, Chondrosum gracile, Pulsatilla ludoviciana, Artemisia frigida.

Description
A picture is attached to the specimen sheet. Plants appearing rhizomatous and forming small mats; flowers blue with red guildline and reddish tube. Anthers dehiscing across connective; occasional locally. Leaf tissue taken for DNA analysis. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
