    Brazil. Bahia. Palmeiras Mun. Serras dos Lençois. Lower slopes of Morro do Pai Inácio, ca. 14.5 km NW of Lençois just N of the main Seabra-Itaberaba road.

  • Habitat

    OPen grassy slopes with marshy ground; low shrubs and low evergreen woodland in valleys by small stream and in shelter of sandstone rocks. This plant growing by stream.

  • Description

    Fern forming diffuse communities with singly borne erect fronds on creeping rhizome. Stems and leaves very brttle. Young fronds pale green above, pale glaucous beneath. Soru pale brown. Older plants up to 1.5 m. high in sheltered places, with much branched fornds, older pinnae dark green above. Fronds often only 20 cm. tall in exposed places. Fronds with pinnae ± horizontal, arching slightly. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
