Tree 9 m tall, the trunk 21 cm diam; bark dark, nearly black, the lower bark furrowed, ridges grey, rough, the upper bark merely fissured, ridges light grey, flat; crown hemispheric; branches ascending then pendulous. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
