Location
Haiti. Sud. Massif de la Hotte, western group; Parc National Pic Macaya; Morne Formon, collected on trip from Experiment Station House (i.e., "Cay Florence") to ridge of Morne Formon at 1850 m and then on up to Pic le Ciel at 2150 m. This specimen collected along ridge to peak.

Habitat
Cloud forest to moist forest of Pinus occidentalis. In cloud forest/moist pine forest. Very common.

Description
Shrub to 4 m tall; flowers greenish-cream, anthers white (and actinomorphic); fruits red to pale blue (and globose) when mature. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
