    Tree 26 m tall, the trunk 130 cm diam; bark light grey, furrowed, the ridges ± flat, scaly; major branches massive, ascending; leaf abaxials lighter. Acorns collected from abundant crop directly beneath tree. No other oak in range to drop acorns here. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
