    Moist montane forest along stream (in ravine) with Miconia dielsiana, M. tetrastoma, Conostegia icosandra, Tetrazygia crotonifolia, Psiguria trifoliata, Begonia. Occasional.

    Shrub or small tree to 4 m tall; flowers with petals cream colored (with reddish tips) and anthers white; young fruits reddish-purple. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Fruit.
