Description
Tree, 25 m x 55 cm. Without buttresses. Bark reddish-brown, small pock marks toward base, smooth above, outer bark thin, inner bark thicker, red, with concentric lines. In full flower; few flowers open today perhaps because of overcast skies and cold. Petals white inside, green tinged outside, androecial hood light yellow, with darker yellow appendages. Filaments white, anthers golden yellow. 28% concentration of sugar in nectar. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
