Habitat
Bosque de encino. Nearly flat area on infertile, thin soil over alluvial gravels, dominated by Quercus oleoides 8-12 m tall, with Byrsonima crassifolia, and with Scheelea liebmannii in lower areas.

Description
Shrub 2.5 m tall, appears native in this habitat. Leaves green above, light rusty below. Flowers pink; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
