Habitat
In very sandy soil about a rocky point.

Description
Stems clustered on a stout taproot and branching caudex. Flowers yellow, the corolla limb fading to ochroleucous in age, but the fornices remaining yellow. Nutlets smooth, sharp-edged, not all maturing. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
