Associated with Artemisia tridentata wyomingensis, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Sphaeralcea munroeana, Astragalus lentiginosus, Opuntia polyacantha, Allium textile, Astragalus filipes, Delphinium andersonii. Scattered. Soil deep, sandy loam with little vegetative cover.
