Habitat
Substrate - calcareous travertine, Juniperus scopulorum/Potentilla fruticosa/Juncus balticus community with shallow, fine textured soil over travertine. Assoc. with Carex scirpoidea, Pinus flexilis, Poa pratense. Locally abundant but patchy distribution.
