Description
Herbs, the leaves to ca 1 m and the inflorescences to ca 1.5 m; petals orange with dark patches on either side of the lighter midvein. The plants here were probably planted long ago. They are not mowed, but otherwise untended now. They seem to be outcompeting the Polygonatum biflorum (Atha 7638) and Dichanthelium (Atha 7637) and unaffected by the canopy of Rhus typhina. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
