    Epiphyte at 2.5 m; internodes short, dark green and weakly glossy, soon brown, matte; cataphylls sharply 2-ribbed, deciduous; petioles obtusely flattened adaxially, dark green, weakly glossy, spongy; blades subcoriaceous, weakly glossy, slightly bicolorous; major veins sunken above; midrib narrowly raised and concolorous above; primary lateral veins narrowly raised and concolorous.
