Description
On stream banks; internodes short, 2-3.5 cm diam., young leaves and petiole bases reddish; sheath erect-recurled, semiglossy; free portion of petiole sharply sulcate; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and matte above, moderately paler and matte below; midrib deeply sunken and concolorous above, narrowly raised and slightly paler below; primary lateral veins obtusely sunken and concolorous above, convex and concolorous below; spadix post-anthesis, grayish; infructescence immature, greenish.
