Habitat
Disturbed forest of Pinus occidentalis. Occasional (becoming common at higher elevations).

Description
Shrub, more or less prostrate to 0.5 m tall. Flowers white with red tinge, anthers yellow; fruits greenish red to black at maturity, with a fruity flavor but turning mouth deep purple. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
