Habitat
Summit and upper north-facing slopes of Claron limestone ridge system. Soil fine clay with covering of orange limestone rock. Community of Pinus ponderosa-Pinus longaeva with understory od Arctostaphylos patula, Phlox gradiformis, Linum kingie and Elymus elymoides.
