Dense overstory, with Pinus ponderosa, Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Juniperus communis, Berberis repens, Acer negundo, Acer grandidentatum, populus tremuloides, Smilacina sstellata, Viola adunca, Mertensia franciscana, Clematis columbiana, Lithospermum multiflorum, Cryptantha flavoculata, Ipomopsis aggregata, Holodiscus dumosus, Quercus gambelii, Castilleja linariifolia, Lupinus argenteus palmeri, Balsamothiza sagittata. Locally common.
