United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: Roadside, Highway 120, appx. 1 mile west of Adobe Creek. Narrow constricted pink rhyolitic canyon as road drops down into Adobe Valley. (Indian meadows quad).

Habitat
Narrow W-E running dry canyon with 2-lane asphalt road. With Pinus monophylla, Juniperus osteosperma, Artemisia tridentata, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, C. viscidiflorus, Chenopodium leptophyllum, Salsola tragus, Ambrosia acanthicarpa, Eriogonum brachyanthum. Uncommon. Ashy pumice alluvial soil with steep bishop rhyolite cliffs on each side.
