Habitat
Grassy campo near a wooded stream (gallery forest) surrounded by campo rupestre with many Eriocaulaceae and Melastomataceae. Locally common in damp sandy soil.

Description
Shrubs mostly 0.5 m tall with greenish-yellow leaves and flexuous distal branches. Petals pink. ANthers yellow turning brown with age. Connective and appendages yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
