Habitat
In swamp forest with Coccoloba sp., Symphonia globulifera, Pachira aquatica, Dracena americana. Extensive damage to forest canopy as a result of Hurricane Iris in October 2001. Uncommon.

Description
Most trees of Grias small, largest 7-8 m. No fruit, seeds or seedlings observed.
