Habitat
Growing with Quercus, Pinus, Acoelorraphe, Byrsonima, Clethra, Clidemia and many grasses and sedges. Flat terrain, frequently inundated and burned.

Description
Shrub 3-4m tall; bark reddish; leaves with ferrugineous trichomes; fruit greenish.
