High "mata de cipó" forest, with mixed deciduous and evergreen trees and dense understory on deep loamy soil.

Description
Erect spindly herb with diffuse inflorescence. Stems to ca. 2.5 m. Leaves dull green aromatic. Stems with reddish protuberances on the angles. Calyx green with reddish purple-tinged teeth. Corolla violet with darker upper lip with pattern of deep blue-purple lines. Anthers pale yellow, filaments white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
