Habitat
Sandstone, metamorphic & quartzite rock outcrops with associated marsh & damp flushes. This plant growing by track through cut-over vegetation and by cultivation near house.

Description
Spindly herb with erect or spreading stems. Stems green with purplish ribs. Leaves aromatic dark green rugose above, pale beneath with prominent veins. Calyx green with purplish teeth and tube above. Corolla bluish-purple with darker lower lip. Stamens pale purplish with yellow pollen. Fruiting calyces purple-tinged, mottled green. (Flower heads composed of two cymes!). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
