Habitat
Serpentine rocks. Lots of tree ferns. With: Cecropia peltata, Clusia rosea, Gesneria pedicellata, Inga vera, Erythrina, Thunbergia with yellow flowers and Thunbergia with purple flowers, Piper aduncum, Hyptis, red-flowered Sesbania with small flowers, lvs pinnate, branches pendulous, Triumfeta, yellow flowered shrub with maple-like leaves, Pilea, low succulent with red stems and tiny flowers.

Plant to 50-60cm, main stem red, stems opposite; flowers yellow; open roadbank above river.
