Habitat
In evergreen scrub, changing in seasonal dry forest, terrestrial ferns only Pteridium, Pteris (spp.) & Asplenium auritum almost no epiphytic ferns. Forest disturbed by cattle, in some places cut, very few palms. Trees to 25 m., herb layer in forest sparse.

Description
Liana in tree crown, fruits yellow, stems with purple flush. Flowers- sepals purple red, petals green, both with dark red spots. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
