    On steep toe slope of limestone talus in mixed Douglas fir/shrub moaic. With Prunus virginiana, Populus tremuloides, Rosa woodsii, and Amelanchier alnifolia. Rare.

    A single several-stemmed shrub up to 4" x 15'.

    No A. glabrum apparent above this point along road, common below. Red mite damage not observed on A. grandidentatum, but moderate to heavy on A. glabrum

2.6 miles w. of Bear Lake on Fish Haven Ck. road, Bear Lake Co., Idaho.
Rare on steep toe slope of limestone talus in mixed Douglas-fir/shrub mosaic;
with Prunus virginiana, Populus tremuloides, Rosa woodsii, and Amelanchier
alnifolia, at c. 6200 ft. elevation. A single several-stemmed shrub up to 4"
x 15’. No A. glabrum apparent above this point along road, common below.
Red mite damage not observed on A. grandidentatum, but moderate to heavy
on A. glabrum.
