Habitat
Growing with Atriplex corrugata and Atriplex cuneata on semi-barren clay soil weathered from Mancos Shale. Collonial and very local. 50-100 plants in two discrete sub-populations.

Plants with distinctive strong pineapple aroma when fresh. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Plants with distinctive strong pineapple aroma when fresh. Near the type locality of P. orbicularis Rydb. at "Marvine Laccolite" (=Table Mtn., NW Henry Mtns.).
