"Altura" (forest elevated above old floodplain). Primary, non-flooded, Subtrop Moist Forest. Sandy soil.
Description

Colonial palm w short thick base; lvs to 7m;pinnae in 70 pairs; frts basal, inside thick fibrous mat.
