Dunes of white sand, in a distance of
1-2km from the shore. Open tree&scrub
woodland with xeromorphic or semisucculent
leaves. Some trees up to 4m, mostly
Clusiaceae,Ericaceae,Bignoniaceae,
Rubiaceae,Leguminosae and others.
Low palms with large underground-trunks,
terrestrial Bromeliaceae&Orchidaceae,
small Velloziaceae, Cactaceae and
succulent Euphorbiaceae frequent.
Valleys sometimes overflood, mainly
covered with Cyperaceae,Eriocautaceae
and Lentibulariaceae.
Some vines and no epiphytes.
Frequent subshrub with white flowers.
