on the edge of an abandoned cranberry bog surrounded by pine (Pinus) - oak (Quercus) forest with sparse maple (Acer) and openings dominated by huckleberry (Gaylussacia) and mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia). on pitch pine (Pinus rigida).
