BURLINGTON COUNTY.: On discarded rocks,' along the shaded margins of
a small dam, on the shore of a lake with abundant ¡(ctcclniMM, along a dirt road
leading to the cabin, west of Red Road (Stevenson Road), Oswego River
Preserve. - elev. ca. 100 ft. - UTM 18 550480E 4401926N - Lat. 39° 46' 04"N,
Long. 74° 24’ 38"W.
Thallus saxicolous, crustpse, esorediate; apothecia immersed, becoming
superficial, pale brown-purple, margins concolorous with disks, disks with a slight pruina;
epihymenium brown, KOH-, IKI+ yellow/orange; hymenium yellowish (in thicker
section), IKI+ yellow/orange, KOH-; hypothecium yellow/brown; spores colorless,
simple, broadly ellipsoid, 8-per ascus, often tapering slight to a blunt point at one end,
20pm x 8-10pm; paraphyses slender, branched, not apically swollen, segmented.
