Moist soil, side of brook near marsh; in open sun.

Description
Shrub, several stems erect from ground level, 2½ m. tall. Floral tube pale orange, limbs pale yellow, anthers dark dull purplish-red, filaments light green, capitate stigma dark green. Wood sample taken from a trunk 4-5 dm. above ground level. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
