Frequent in humid secondary forest of old cacao plan-
tation. Open forest on gentle, rocky slope. Sandy
soil with thick layer of leafmold. Scattered clumps
around trees and large rocks in shady places. Many
plants with inflorescences on the main culm. Leaves
dark g^en. Growing in association with Pariana
lancéolata and Raddla sp. (C.E.C., R.S.P, 2183).
