Location given to summit of peak (~ 900 m) in Southwest of Indiera Fria based on the following: "The name of "Monte Alegrillo" has disappeared from use but according to Proctor (1991), N.L. Britton referred to "Monte Alegrillo" as the peak at the extreme head of the Rio Maricao, with an elevation of 900 meters" (excerpt from Federal Register 1644 / Vol. 62, No. 7 / Jan. 10, 1997 / Fish and Wildlife Service)
