Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the point alongside the sequence of roads which most directly connect the city of Itabuna to the city of Una, 101 and BA-668, closest to the approximate geographic midpoint between the city of Itabuna and the city of Una, in Mun. Una, Bahia. Using Google Maps (Satellite View), located roads 101 and BA-668. Beginning at the approximate geographic center of the city of Itabuna, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line to the approximate geographic center of the city of Una, then halved this distance to approximate the location of the midpoint. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find coordinates for the point along one of these highways (BA-668) closest to this midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the most distant of the two cities mentioned (Una), 27,409.5 m), and measurement error (0.1 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the Uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: River, Stream, Road, Path & Named Place: Between two Places).
