Description

herb. Spaix 1.2 cm. long + ca. 3 mm. long funnelform steile appendage, x 0.7 cm. of a drab dark color, but spadix fixed on a pad of tissue of pale color (creamy suffused purple-brown). Peduncle ca. 1.3 cm. long, lt. green. Spathe 8.3 cm. long, 3.3 cm. across the open part; inside dull wine-brown, finely lepidote, marginally olive; outside more or less matte dull olive upward, downward becoming suffused dull browing with nerves elevated as ribs; tube of the spathe (i.e., convolute part) ca. 1.7 cm. across.
