Municipio Itubera: ca. 2 km from Itubera on road to Gandu.
¡Cut-over forest on hillside. Fazenda Inferno Verde. Elev.
1230m. Locally common bamboo, the culms thin-walled, hoi-'«,;
¡low, at first erect, then becoming more delicate and
clambering over other plaints. New culms bluish-green,
retrorsely scabrous, the nodes with a thick prominent
bridge. Culm leaves caducous: sheath purplish-green, be-
coming a lustrous brown; blade reflexed, light green.
Foliage blades pendent. In better part of forest plants
are more developed, reaching 10m, and with more branches
at the node.
