forest of mostly Quercus, Pinus and numerous Ericaceae.
Shrub 2 m tall, the main stem ca 2 cm diam; sap white and
sticky; bark silvery brown, ± smooth; twigs lustrous; petioles
reddish/pink; leaf blade abaxials lighter than adaxials.
