Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Andrés Ibáñez Prov. 2.8 km SE of turnoff from Santa Cruz to Puerto Pailas highway, 15 km (by air) E of Cotoca.

Habitat
Flat, fine sandy soil. Tall chaco forest with Maclura mora, Pterogyne nitens, Galesia integrifolia, Myrciaria cauliflora. Remnants alternating with large cleared fields for soybean, etc.

Description
Erect herbs to 8 dm. tall. Fruiting inflorescences green, held erect, the few flowering ones arching and white.
