    Australia. New South Wales. North Coast: track to Newbeys Cave (overhang), ca. 100 m. from Newbeys Creek Road, on Newbeys Creek. Lansdowne State Forest.

  • Habitat

    Eucalyptus with understorey of Acacia and Allocasuarina further up slopes and more rainforest type species next to water, e.g. Ceratopetalum. Chrysocephalum, Dicnemoloma, Cladia adjacent. Locally frequent. Growing on top of large boulder composed of conglomerate of metamorphic pebbles. Very little humus present.

  • Description

    Shrub to ca. 2.5 m. tall; one main stem with side branches from ca. 10 cm. Bark in basal region somewhat fibrous and deeply fissured. Flowers pale pink; older ones several shades darker. Plants more or less erect but frequently with decumbent branches. All specimens from same plant. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
