Description
Tree to 5 m. x 10 cm. with open branching; rough bark, chunky and corky, deeply grooved (a typical cerrado bark); leaves highly discolorous, mid-green, somewhat shiny above, whitish green and dull below; hard, almond-shaped fruits pale green with pale brown scaly tissue peeling off in flakes; old dehisced fruit dark brown. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
