Dune forest with elements of Maritime Forest and Southeastern Swamp Forest; dominants include Pinus taeda, Quercus falcata, Quercus virginiana, Persea palustris, Liquidambar styraciflua, Ilex opaca and Nyssa sylvatica.

Description
Tree 16 m tall, the trunk ca 35 cm diam; bark dark grey, the furrows deep, the ridges rough.
