United States of America. Iowa. Grundy Co. an approximately 0.5 acre calcareous fen occurs on a NW-facing slope in a pasture about 4 miles E/NE of Stout.

Habitat
The soil is mapped as Palms muck, 1 to 3 percent slopes (221), a Terric Medisaprist. The fen is on a lowan Surface. Campylium stellatum is frequent on saturated muck (tufa is present at and just below the surface) in the sedge mat zone.
