BAMBOOS OF BRAZIL Bambusa sp. Sao Paulo: Campinas, Instituto Agronómico, Centro Experimental de Campinas, 730 m. 22°54' S, 47°04' W. Cultivated in experimental plantation. Culms erect, arching slightly toward apex, 12 m tall, ca. 4-4.5 cm in diameter, the basal intemodes 35-36 cm long. Internodes of new shoots lightly glaucous, this persisting for some time. Culm leaves abaxially glabrous, auricles present. Branch complement of one large branch and several smaller branches on each side. 17 January 1994 L. Clark & A.
