Description
Culms 15-18 m tall, 10-25 cm in diameter, branching from the lower nodes, spiny, forming impenatrable mass, full of new culms. Sheaths difficult to obtain because they fall off and get caught in branches and do not reach the ground. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
