  • Description

    shrub. Shrub. Plants 1 is 1.25m tall; plant 2 is 1.9m tall. Petals dark red (light green at base). Filaments light green; anther walls red at center and golden-yellow at edges; pollen golden yellow. Young fruit green; ripe capsules dry, brown. Leaves green to dark wine-red. Glands on stalk dark wine-red, globular tips light green. When cut, a thick, sticky, translucent, slightly whitish sap exudes (not a milky latex).
