Habitat
Steep slope at foot of limestone hill. Lowland forest.

Description
Clustering low palm with clumps of ca. 8 stems. Stem at flowering c. 2m tall, c. 25 cm diam. entierly clothed with leaf bases and ijuk, coarse, but +/- even. Leaf c. 6.5m long, petiole to 3m, dull dark green with scattered brown scales. +/- circular in cross section. Leaflets c. 45 cm each side, very regular, stiff, root undulate, c. 70 cm long, dark green above, pale grey-white beneath. Inflorescences female-terminal, male lateral. Buds pinkish. Used for cabbage. Phenology of specimen: Flower and Fruit.
