Prostrate herb, 5-10 cm. Leaves whorled or in opp. pairs. Each with few teeth. Much branched. Flowers yellow, axillary, single; 5-6 mm diam. Petals free (4). Fruit a capsule; calyx & style persistent. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
