Habitat
Vegetation: Elfin ericaceous scrub with dwarf trees above bosque humedo montano. Locally common on ridge top.

Description
Shrub to 1 m; leaves semi-coriaceous, grass-green glossy above, slightly paler and dull below; calyces greenish with the upper third and teeth dark purple, petals creamish white, filaments and anthers white. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
